ROLE: EVENTS SUPERVISOR

Job Description:
LAP Food and Bars is seeking an experienced and confident Events Supervisor to lead the delivery of our weekend weddings and events across the South West. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role where you will be the on-the-day point of contact for clients and guests, ensuring events run smoothly and to our five-star standards. You will work closely with the Events Administrator and Kitchen Team to deliver a seamless experience from planning through to execution.

About the Role
As Events Supervisor, you will take ownership of events on the day, leading staff, coordinating suppliers, and acting as the main point of contact for clients and guests. You will liaise closely with the Events Administrator and Head Chef ahead of each event to ensure all details are clearly communicated and delivered to plan. 

As Events Supervisor, you will act as the on-the-day lead for each event, coordinating staff, suppliers, and guest experience in line with the agreed event plan. While overall responsibility remains with senior management, you will be empowered to make real-time decisions on-site and manage operational issues as they arise.

You will work closely with the Events Administrator in advance of each event to ensure you are fully briefed, and you will serve as the central point of contact for guests, clients, and the event team on the day—effectively acting as the “ringmaster” to keep the event running smoothly, professionally, and to LAP Food and Bars’ standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-the-Day Event Management: Oversee event setup, delivery, and breakdown, ensuring smooth operations throughout
  • Guest & Client Experience: Act as the main on-site contact, resolving issues promptly and professionally
  • Team Supervision: Lead front-of-house and event staff, ensuring service standards are met
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with caterers, bar teams, and third-party suppliers on-site
  • Event Handover & Feedback: Communicate post-event notes and feedback to the Events Administrator

What will I be doing?

  • Receiving and reviewing full event briefs from the Events Administrator
  • Leading events on-site, including weddings, private parties, and catered events
  • Ensuring event timings, layouts, and service plans are followed
  • Managing guest queries and last-minute changes calmly and professionally
  • Supporting bar and food service teams during peak periods
  • Ensuring health, safety, and presentation standards are upheld
  • Feeding back key outcomes, issues, and successes post-event

Weekend work is a core requirement of this role and hours are dictated by event bookings.

Job Description
LAP Food and Bars is seeking a dedicated Events Administrator to join our professional and friendly catering team. We deliver high-quality events across venues and marquees throughout the South West. This role supports the full guest journey, ensuring a seamless, five-star experience from booking through to event delivery.

About the Role
As Events Administrator, you will manage event administration and guest communications, acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams in the planning of events. You will support smooth event delivery by coordinating logistics, resolving issues, and maintaining LAP’s high service standards on the telephone and email all while supported by LAPs management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Logistics: Manage bookings, guest lists, invitations
  • Supplier & Client Liaison: Coordinate with clients, and third-party suppliers
  • Administrative Support: Manage emails, documents, databases, invoices, and event files
  • Marketing & Reporting: Support social media/email activity and compile post-event feedback

What will I be doing?

  • Managing event bookings from enquiry to event day
  • Coordinating details with chefs, front of house, and management
  • Issuing confirmations, contracts, and event schedules
  • Processing deposits and payments accurately
  • Maintaining booking system records and guest information
  • Supporting the Events Manager with admin and follow-ups
  • Delivering excellent customer service by phone and email
  • Liaising with external marketers on menu and price updates

Job Description

ROLE: KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Role Purpose
Our kitchen assistants are effectively the engine room of the kitchen. Working under the guidance of a Kitchen Supervisor or Chef de Partie, your job is to ensure that the kitchen is clean and operational. You will be following instruction to prepare and cook within the kitchen. You will also be involved in preparing ingredients, so it’s a great stepping stone to becoming a chef.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
  • Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
  • Sorting, storing, and distributing ingredients
  • Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking foodstuffs, helping to prepare salads and desserts

LAP Food and Bars is seeking a reliable and skilled Kitchen Prep Assistant to support our catering operation by preparing food during the week for weekend events. This is a weekday, part-time role based in our kitchen, ideal for a working parent seeking consistent hours. You will play a vital role in ensuring our events are delivered to a high standard through careful preparation and excellent kitchen hygiene.

About the Role
